Why doesn't my vial have a strong vacuum?


Not every vial will have a visible vacuum. This is for two reasons.


  1. We reduce the negative pressure inside the vial on purpose. Too much vacuum makes the peptide hard to extract, so we keep the pressure low enough to work with at reconstitution.
  2. Some products are sealed under a nitrogen fill instead of a vacuum. Either way, the seal isn't meant to pressurize the vial. It's there to remove the light traces of oxygen that slowly degrade the raw material over long storage.


A research vial won't behave like a food container. There's no obvious release when you open it. A faint vacuum, or none that you can detect, doesn't mean anything is wrong.


What actually matters is the COA


Vial integrity is confirmed on the Certificate of Analysis rather than by the feel of the seal. Every lot is released against its own lot-specific COA, and two of those results bear directly on the seal.


Container-closure integrity (Dye Ingress) confirms the seal holds, so the sterile, dry environment inside the vial stays intact through storage and transit.


Sterility is verified by two independent laboratories: compendial USP <71> and rapid ScanRDI detection.


Both are part of our 14-point analytical release program, reported per lot.
